Funding secured for additional courses

Covid -19 has affected all of us but for the individuals we work with – those who are unemployed and struggling with unhealthy thoughts or self-limiting beliefs, the effects have been even more catastrophic.

Many of the people coming onto our courses have been shut away and isolated for months, after losing jobs or because promising job opportunities have been cancelled.

With unemployment set to soar to 7.5% over the coming months, we are deeply grateful to the European Social Fund and Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Community Foundation for their funding to enable us to run FIVE programmes in Eastleigh, Gosport, Havant, The New Forest and the Isle of Wight.

Welcome to Hilary Schwager joining the Solent Supporting Employment Team alongside Gordon Blackhurst, for the over 25s starts on 23rd February and please write to communications@safe.org.uk to enrol. This programme will help you move into meaningful employment, overcoming anxiety and other similar issues and increasing your self-esteem and confidence.

This programme complements our Southampton over 18s programme funded by the National Lottery Community and Henry Smith Foundations, our Teens programme and our Solent Youth programme sponsored by the Quilter Foundation.

On behalf of all those whose lives are being transformed through these programmes, we extend a big thank you to all our funders.
