Transform Your Life With Our Programmes

For people who are NEET or unemployed and struggling with mental health: our free 6-month CBT and vocational programme helps you rebuild confidence, tackle barriers, and move back into education, work or training.

Safe New Futures’ programme helps people who feel stuck — maybe you’re not in work or education, or you’ve been struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem — we’re here to help you get back into training, work or study.

  • Programme duration: 6 months
  • Who it’s for: NEET / unemployed or at risk, aged 16+
  • Cost to participants: Free (including materials, tech support)
  • Core methods: Group CBT and practical skills / vocational workshops
  • Structure: 10-day online course, 12 weekly workshops and one-to-ones
  • Outcome goals: Move into education, employment, or training
  • Support available: One-to-one mentoring, workbook, digital equipment if needed

10-day course (2-days per week):

Delivered online every Tuesday and Wednesday for 5 weeks, our course sessions are designed to help you break down barriers, boost your confidence, and pave your way to success. The online group sessions are engaging and interactive, filled with activities, discussions, and practical exercises.

During this period, you’ll learn about identifying and overcoming internal barriers (e.g. negative thinking, anxiety, low self-esteem). We’ll also begin linking your personal goals to realistic education / job pathways.

12 Pathways workshops:

After completing the 5-week course, you will continue with 12 2-hour workshops every Thursday. These sessions, developed in response to participant feedback, offer in-depth training on topics like Overcoming Anxiety, Mindfulness, Looking After Your Wellbeing, and Goal Setting.

These sessions focus on vocational themes (e.g. goal-setting for work/education, job search skills, overcoming setbacks) and continuing the CBT work so that mental health progress is sustained in real-life contexts.

One-to-ones:

To tailor the learning to your situation, map your personal goals (e.g., applying to college, job applications, training) and help you overcome individual obstacles to achieve them.

Workbook / tools:

These are practical resources you’ll use to plan next steps, e.g. setting achievable goals, planning job applications, managing stress in study/work transitions.

  • People aged 16+ who are NEET or unemployed, or at risk of falling out of education or employment
  • People experiencing mental health barriers (e.g. anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, negative thinking)
  • People who want to rebuild confidence, get clarity on next steps, and re-engage in training, education, or work

This is not suitable for people requiring intensive psychiatric treatment beyond what a course can provide, or those already fully employed and just seeking general therapy.

  • One-to-one introduction session: From the very start, you’ll have a one-to-one chat with a mentor to set out your personal action plan. This is your chance to share your aspirations and start shaping your future.
  • Weekly one-to-one sessions: Each week, you’ll have a personal session with a facilitator to delve deeper into the programme material and discuss any personal applications or questions.
  • Personal workbook: A comprehensive manual, your go-to resource during and after the programme. It’s packed with tools to help you identify your strengths and create personal strategies for success.
  • Comprehensive support: Our compassionate facilitators will guide you every step of the way, ensuring you apply what you learn effectively.
