How To Refer People To The Programme
This page explains how to refer people to a mental health programme at Safe New Futures Southampton. As a mental health and employment charity, we provide mental health and employment support for adults and young people aged 16+.
- Are experiencing anxiety, low confidence or low mood
- Are disengaged from work, education or training, or at risk of becoming NEET
- May not meet thresholds for statutory mental health services
- Would benefit from structured, psychologically informed group support
What we offer
- A single six-month programme, comprising a five-week, 10-day core course and follow-up support, including 12 Pathways workshops
- Online, relationship-led delivery with strong safeguarding and engagement
- Clear reporting and feedback to referring organisations
We deliver a structured CBT-based support programme focused on mental health back-to-work outcomes. The programme runs for six months and includes a five-week core CBT mental health programme. Participants also attend follow-up Pathways workshops that build confidence and support returning to work after mental illness.
We provide online delivery with strong safeguarding and consistent engagement. In addition, we offer clear feedback to referring partners, supporting an effective mental health referral pathway and employment processes. Our approach combines cognitive behavioural therapy and work-focused support, including CBT vocational support and vocational rehabilitation mental health services.
